The Onnen Choir, founded in 1959 by Gerd Onnen, the father of the present conductor, has devoted its attention for over 50 years to the ambitious intention of presenting songs from all over the world in their original languages. A unique collection of about 400 titles in more than 60 languages forms the basis of the choir repertoire. The Onnen Choir can thus rightly claim for itself the title “unique.”

To put this round of musical cultures into practice one needs just this ideal combination of ability and enthusiasm which is a feature of the members of the choir, its versatile soloists as well as the accompanying orchestra.
